Description

The American Gold Eagle is an official gold bullion coin of the United States. It was first introduced by the United States Mint in 1986 as a means for investors to own gold in the form of legal tender coins.

The obverse (front) side of the coin features a rendition of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' famous design of Lady Liberty holding a torch and an olive branch. The reverse (back) side showcases a male bald eagle carrying an olive branch to a nest containing a female eagle and hatchlings.

Denominations of American Gold Eagles are issued in four different denominations: 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce, and 1/10 ounce. The face values of these coins are $50, $25, $10, and $5, respectively. However, the actual market value of these coins is primarily determined by their gold content rather than the face value.

Order will be fulfilled with 1oz coin and mintage year based on availability.

FAQ

1. Are your products authentic?

Yes—everything we sell is 100% authentic. The weight and purity are listed for each precious metal product. Our bullion comes from trusted mints and refineries (including the U.S. Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, PAMP Suisse, etc.), and all certified coins are professionally graded and authenticated by respected third-party services like NGC and PCGS.

2. What kind of metals should I buy?

It depends on your goals, plus your tolerance for risk, liquidity requirement and expected hold time. Gold is known for long-term stability, silver is more affordable and popular for stacking, and rare coins offer collector value on top of their metal content. Many customers diversify across categories. We're happy to help you figure out what makes the most sense for your portfolio.

3. Can I visit your store or pick up my order in person?

Yes! We’re headquartered in Shenandoah, Texas, just north of Houston. You’re welcome to stop by for a consultation or pick up an order—just contact us in advance to schedule an appointment.

4. Can I get financial advice from your team?

We’re not licensed financial advisors, but we are precious metals experts. Our team is always happy to answer questions, provide education, and offer recommendations based on your interests and goals. Call us anytime!

5. What do I do when I want to sell what I buy from you?

Easy—just give us a call. We actively buy back coins and bullion, and we’ll walk you through the simple steps to complete the sale. We offer fair market based bids and fast service. Since we sell well-recognized and authentic products, you can also consider selling through other marketplaces or even to a local coin shop or metals buyer.

6. Is investing in precious metals risky?

Like any investment, precious metals can go up or down in value. The market can be volatile in the short term, which is why we recommend thinking long term. Many customers hold for 5 to 10 years or more to ride out fluctuations.

7. What is your return and cancellation policy?

You may return non-bullion items within 5 days in original packaging. Bullion and special orders are non-refundable. Returns may be subject to restocking fees. Cancelling a bullion order after it’s locked but before it has shipped may incur Market Loss charges and a $30 cancellation fee. If you have questions, we’re here to help.

Delivery & return policy

1. Is my package insured during shipping?

Yes! All shipments from United Patriot Coin are fully insured while in transit. Once a package is marked as delivered or signed for, insurance coverage ends.

2. What happens if my package is lost in transit?

Contact us immediately. We will help you communicate with the carrier to recover your package.

3. Will I need to sign for my package?

Yes, if your order is over $500, a signature is required. For your convenience, orders under $500 do not require a signature.

4. When will I receive my order?

Orders ship once payment clears. Some payments (like checks) have hold periods. Standard shipping time, for start to finish, is about 7-10 days.

5. Do you ship to P.O. Box addresses?

Yes, via USPS only. Be aware that insurance ends once delivery is confirmed.

6. Do you ship internationally?

No. We only ship within the United States, including P.O. Boxes. We do not ship to U.S. territories or internationally. If you want to export your order, select Bank Wire Transfer as the payment method and you can have your order shipped to a freight forwarder or agent of your choosing. The international portion of the delivery will remain your responsibility.
