Description

1990 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle – U.S. Mint Bullion Coin – Better Date, Early in Series

Struck in just the fifth year of the American Gold Eagle program, the 1990 1/2 oz coin is considered a better date and an appealing early issue for collectors. Minted in 22k gold and backed by the U.S. government, it contains 1/2 Troy ounce of pure gold with iconic American imagery.

  • Contains 1/2 Troy oz of .9167 fine gold (22k)

  • Obverse: Lady Liberty by Augustus Saint-Gaudens

  • Reverse: Family of Eagles by Miley Busiek

  • U.S. Mint official legal tender coin – $25 face value

  • Brilliant Uncirculated condition

  • Considered a better date due to lower availability

  • Early-year issue ideal for rare coin portfolios

The 1990 Gold Eagle stands out for its relative scarcity in the fractional weight category, making it especially desirable among collectors and those building year-by-year sets. With trusted purity, beautiful design, and increasing demand for early-date Eagles, this coin blends gold weight with long-term collector potential.
